SP2400 Time for Bells

SP2400 Time for Bells  by Alan Hagar / Book and CD

This latest publication by Al Hager makes it easy to use bells for more than just performances. The twelve sequenced units introduce a variety of musical concepts and take advantage of the full line of Kidsplay Handbells, starting with the basic 8 Note Diatonic bell sets and progressing to the full 20 Note Extended bell sets. Accessories, including the color coded cards, are also covered in this useful lesson book and curriculum guide. Introduces concepts of melody, chords, note reading, accompaniment, ear training, composition and more! Each unit includes an “additional resources” section that indicates songs in other Sweet Pipes publications appropriate for that level. Many of the examples in the book include CD recordings with and without bells. This publication comes with a reproducible section intended for use with your students. Also included are suggestions for adding small hand percussion instruments to some of the arrangements. Students will look forward to learning when you tell them, “It’s TIME FOR BELLS!”
